Options for vans and the diesel thing in 2016

A lot has happened since the last post.
We tried out lots of different places from winter camping at the national forest service campgrounds. In Leiden we used a small 3 campers only place in some ones driveway. Christmas night we slept on the parking places in front of my mums house and new years eve we spent on a 1 place only campground in the east part of the country.

Rules were you park your van and spent the night are strict in the netherlands and yes you can try a not allowed spot for your camper. But if caught by the police you have a problem.
We are preparing to go to Denmark in February 2016 but we had issues with our stove. Our 21 year old van has never been used in fall or winter but it looks like it works now.
If planning to visit cities in the Netherlands with a (camper) van or car be aware that in 2016 in some cities (like were I live in Rotterdam Netherlands ) older cars using diesel are not allowed to drive in town or (centre) any more.
That is one of the reasons we bought a van that doesn't use diesel.

On natural campgrounds and campgrounds from the forest service campfires are allowed
The forest service even provides free wood. But you have to buy a memberships card.

Below on the parkingplaces in front of my mums house in the north of the   Netherlands. We are too big and need 2 places

The only one tent or camper campground is more expensive as a normal campground but you have a hudge place, firewood and fireplace a private shower and bathroom. More glamping like they call it over here. As a bonus the first sun of this year 2016 coming up.
